Get started

It was less than a month ago when Central MA and most of New England was slammed with the early Nor'easter that took down thousands of trees, power lines, and left homeowners and drivers with lots of damage to deal with.  We at Markham Insurance saw several claims for tree removal in particular.  The most popular question?

AM I COVERED?

If your homeowner's insurance is current, and the tree damaged your home or a covered structure like a shed or fence, there is.  But what about the giant Oak Tree that is across your front yard?  Or the massive limbs scattered all over your property?  Now is a great time to call and ask if you have any coverage for tree removal on your property.  Several companies have special endorsements for this coverage that you can add.  Some will also cover the cost to replace the food that may have spoiled due to an extended power outage. Review your policy now, and consider increasing your coverage to protect you when the unexpected happens.

I never considered getting myself covered for any tree damage. We have a 40 foot tall pine tree in our backyard that were planning to cut down and should probably make sure that our insurance will cover anything that goes wrong. Thank you for the helpful tree tips!
